ACT utg\u00e5r ifr\u00e5n att m\u00e4nniskan alltid kommer att ha tankar och k\u00e4nslor och m\u00e5nga av dessa kommer vara negativa. Att vara kritisk och ha n\u00e4ra till jobbiga k\u00e4nslor som skuld, skam och oro har under evolutionens g\u00e5ng varit livsviktigt f\u00f6r oss m\u00e4nniskor d\u00e5 det gjort att vi undvikit olika faror. Nu n\u00e4r m\u00e5nga av oss lever i en mer bekv\u00e4m och relativt trygg vardag, till skillnad fr\u00e5n vad v\u00e5ra f\u00f6rf\u00e4der p\u00e5 savannen gjorde, s\u00e5 blir v\u00e5r tendens att s\u00f6ka efter hot ofta ett hinder i v\u00e5rt liv. N\u00e4r negativa tankar och k\u00e4nslor blir s\u00e5 starka att de hindrar oss i vardagen \u00e4r terapiformen ACT ofta till hj\u00e4lp. Metoden ger oss verktyg f\u00f6r att kunna komma loss n\u00e4r vi fastnat i v\u00e5ra tankar och k\u00e4nslor eller i ett undvikande beteende.<\/p>\n<p>I ACT l\u00e4r vi oss att betrakta tankar som tankar och k\u00e4nslor som k\u00e4nslor snarare \u00e4n sanningar. Det \u00e4r en av de metoder som utvecklats utifr\u00e5n KBT och beskrivs som en del av tredje v\u00e5gens beteendeterapi.&nbsp; Flera olika tekniker anv\u00e4nds inom ACT och m\u00e5nga av dessa bygger p\u00e5 medveten n\u00e4rvaro och acceptans inf\u00f6r de obehagliga tankar och k\u00e4nslor som besv\u00e4rar oss. Syftet med ACT \u00e4r att hitta nya verktyg och f\u00f6rh\u00e5llningss\u00e4tt som g\u00f6r att vi kan leva det liv vi vill, s\u00e5 fullt ut som
